Columbus - This afternoon at Columbus City Hall, Mayor Michael B.Coleman, Columbus City Council President Andy Ginther and Columbus City CouncilMember Zach Klein announced that the City of Columbus will be establishing aDomestic Partner Registry.
By establishing this registry, couples across the city, both LGBTand straight, will finally get the opportunity to show their commitment to eachother, share that commitment with family, friends and others and have itrecognized by their municipality.
“This is a proud moment for Columbus and its citizens as wecontinue to make progress in the name of equality. It is our hope that as theseefforts will not only help Columbus maintain an economic advantage, but alsoprovide more evidence that Columbus and Ohio can truly be places where everyonefeels at home.” Said Zac Branstool, Director of Communications for EqualityOhio.
